The Advisory Services team at GS1 Australia assists companies in solving the complexities of the supply chain, ultimately leading to enhanced profitability and safety. The team is headed up by John Szabo and are committed to delivering innovative solutions tailored to your company’s specific needs.
John manages the GS1 Australia Advisory Services team. For more than 30 years John has contributed to improvements in supply chain management for multinational organisations. John has spent the past 17 years at GS1 Australia, assisting organisations to improve operational efficiencies utilising the GS1 standards. An accredited GS1 traceability auditor, John previously served as the Co-chair of the GS1 Global Traceability Programme group and was involved in the development of the GS1 Global Traceability Training program. With a background in Industrial Engineering, John is passionate and committed to providing expert advice to best address client challenges, focused on business process and sustainable practices to set companies up for future growth and success.
As Principal Consultant at GS1 Australia, Earl holds over 30 years of international business and IT experience drawn from a diverse range of senior management roles. Earl's expertise lies in the creation of truly integrated supply chains delivering bottom line results. A current member of the Supply Chain Council Australia & New Zealand Leadership Team, the Information Masters Forum and the Australian Institute of Management, Earl is multi-lingual being fluent in English, Malay and Hokkien.

Roberto has extensive expertise in the assessment and reformulation of supply chain strategies for organisations. His concepts have been taught at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and deployed by organisations including BASF, Intel, 7-Eleven, Cardinal Health, Saflex and the United Nations. Roberto has designed and managed scenario planning projects in Australia for Woolworths, Coca-Cola Amatil and Qube, as well as the Commonwealth Government to inform the development of freight, logistics and supply chain strategies. At MIT, he was part of projects for the United States government and AB InBev.
Mishu holds a Bachelor of Technology as well as Prince2 project management certification. As Consulting Advisor at GS1 Australia, Mishu is focused on achieving supply chain improvements through data management to achieve cost effective results. Mishu's pragmatic problem solving approach to client needs has delivered cost effective results for many organisations across a vast array of industries including Healthcare, Pharmacy, Grocery, Food Service and Liquor.
Brendon has worked as a senior executive in consulting positions across eCommerce, eBusiness & EDI. He holds a successful track record of over 30 years in defining and delivering business solutions for the supply chain through the introduction of new technologies and the implementation of organisational change. With a unique 360 perspective developed through roles as a vendor, a buyer and an independent consultant for electronic trading solutions, Brendon is able to assimilate requirements from all parties and deliver efficient, viable and sustainable solutions.
