SUMBIT UDI DATA TO TGA AUSUDID USING NPC
You can now submit Unique Device Identification (UDI) data to TGA AusUDID using GS1 Australia's National Product Catalogue (NPC)
Offering organisations involved in Australian healthcare a single point of connectivity, a common set of attributes, one common format, and the potential for an automated approach to assist in the management of product data, the NPC is all about efficiency for the sector and its stakeholders. By using a GDSN connection such as the NPC, in many cases product data can flow from the manufacturer’s internal database to regulators, health providers/recipients, distributors and other organisations where consistent, standardised, and accurate data is needed. The NPC lays the foundation for improved data quality, traceability, and efficiency, to help drive costs out of the supply chain and enhance patient safety. An connection to the TGA Australian Unique Device Identification Database (AusUDID) has been established for manufacturers and sponsors to easily share their UDI data via the NPC.
