GS1 EANCOM™

Use the GS1 EANCOM standard to share data via eMessaging (EDI) with trading partners around the world. Some industry sectors have their own subsets of this standard.

What is GS1 EANCOM?

GS1 EANCOM takes UN/EDIFACT standards – which are internationally agreed standards to facilitate the electronic interchange of data – and focuses them for the trade and transport sectors.

As well as using UN/EDIFACT standards, GS1 EANCOM also incorporates GS1 standards – like the physical identification of trade items (GTINs), logistics units (SSCC) and Global Location Numbers (GLNs) – to further facilitate the exchange of information in the supply chain.
