Description:

Price Location Code (GLN - Global Location Number). The ‘Ship From’ attribute allows a Publisher to create unique price records based on the source location(s).

Example:

A supplier of timber has two mills, each sourcing raw materials from different locations. The cost of raw materials or the quality of the finished product requires the supplier to create unique price records for the same GTIN (unique Ship From GLNs). When a Recipient places an order and specifies a particular source of supply, they do so knowing the price variations between the two supply sources.

Note: If multiple Ship From(s) are specified, then 1 only Ship To can be specified (applicable to NZ only, Ship From GLNs are not used in AU).

Useful Tips:
  • Use valid GLN number allocated by GS1 Australia or GS1 New Zealand.

NZ Hardware Sector

  • If the shipFrom GLN is used to support regional pricing then alternateLocationGroup must be populated with a unique number for each price where the GTIN, GLN, Target Market and Distribution Method are identical (but the price is different when 'shipped from' your different regions).
