PBS Manufacturer Codes are created by the Department of Health (DoH) and assigned to manufacturers or suppliers upon their request. A Manufacturer Code identifies the manufacturer of a product in the context of a prescribing rule (PBS Item Code).
Example:
The DoH have assigned PBS Manufacturer Code “GS” to GS1 Healthcare Manufacturing.
