Allergic reactions to limonene can range from mild Oral Allergy Syndrome (OAS) to severe anaphylactic reactions.

Oral Allergy Syndrome is also known as Pollen Food Syndrome. For people with OAS, some raw (uncooked) fresh vegetables, fruits, spices or nuts cause the lips, mouth, tongue and throat to itch, tingle and/or swell.
