Charity of Choice
Our Charity of Choice is St Vincent's Institute of Medical Research (SVI).
We've chosen SVI as our preferred charity because SVI conducts research into diseases that affect many Australians, including cancer, type 1 diabetes and Alzheimer's disease. This medical research provides the necessary building blocks that help identify the cause of diseases and how to prevent and treat them.
GS1 Australia has a rewarding Workplace Giving Program where staff can donate directly to SVI.
Learn more about the SVI story, diseases being researched, latest news and how to donate to SVI research.

Throughout the year staff raise money for charitable causes, either as individuals or coordinated through our Social Club or Events department.
The GS1 Australia Supply Chain Scholarship supports the development of Australia’s future leaders in supply chain management and associated disciplines. For more details visit RMIT University scholarships.
Staff are given one paid volunteer day each year to volunteer their time and services to an eligible community-based organisation.
To combat slavery and human trafficking around the world, western governments have enacted legislation to protect victims and ensure those responsible are brought to justice and deterred from participating in these activities.
Reporting requirements within current federal and state-based legislation only applies to organisations of a certain size. GS1 Australia is not covered by this legislation.
We are, however, fully committed to the principles underpinning such legislation. We acknowledge it can have severe consequences for victims, distort global markets and pose significant legal and reputational risk to entities.
GS1 Australia is committed to respecting human rights across its entire operations and supply chains. We actively work with our community of vendors and members to assess and address modern slavery risks.
