  • If you are looking for a business meeting place in eastern Melbourne or southern Sydney, somewhere a bit different to host an event or meeting, we have just the place.

    GS1 Australia offers professional training facilities for hire, in both Melbourne and Sydney.

    Key features

    • Convenient locations: Our Melbourne facilities are located in the south eastern suburb of Mulgrave, which is just 30 minutes from the Melbourne CBD. Our Sydney facilities are in Botany, just five minutes’ drive from the airport.  
    • Audio-visual equipment: Standard equipment is provided at no additional cost. You can also bring your own equipment.
    • Contemporary facilities: Our facilities are functional and modern, with flexible room configurations that make them ideal for both small and large groups and break out spaces.
    • Kitchen facilities: Our kitchen areas include tea and coffee-making facilities and can accommodate your basic catering requirements. This area could also be used for your working lunch or networking. 
    • Catering: This can be provided upon request.

    Ideal for large or medium groups, this training room is equipped with audio visual equipment and audio conferencing.

    • Theatre style seating for 64

    Rowntree Hoadley Room

    Ideal for medium size groups, this training room is equipped with audio visual equipment and audio conferencing.

    • Classroom style seating for 18

    GS1 Room

    Ideal for medium size groups, this training room is equipped with audio visual equipment and audio conferencing.

    • U shaped style seating for 14 or
    • Boardroom style seating for 12

    Bill Pratt Auditorium

    State of the art lecture theatre

    • Theatre seating for 56
    • Flip desk for each seat

    A large comfortable single venue of 95m2 with the flexibility to accommodate a variety of events.

    Configuration options include:

    The following equipment is available in our training rooms:

    • Data projector and projection screen
    • 120" motorised projector screen (Melbourne only)
    • Whiteboard
    • Lectern
    • Microphones (wireless lapel and handheld)
    • Internet connection
    • Conference phone facilities
    • Hearing loop (Melbourne only)

    Additional equipment

    You may bring in additional equipment. However, it must be brought in, set up and managed by you.

    Loading dock facilities are available in Melbourne only. You are required to provide equipment/goods receiving staff for both locations.


    Who can hire rooms?

    Anyone can hire rooms - you don’t need to be a member of GS1 Australia.

    How much does it cost?

    Prices include use of our training room equipment. They do not include catering, drinks and/or waiting staff. Please contact our Training team to discuss pricing.

    What about catering?

    Our Melbourne and Sydney have the facility to host catering.

    GS1 Australia uses the caterers below for events, training and functions. These companies are familiar with GS1 Australia’s location and onsite requirements. Organisations using the GS1 facilities are not obliged to use these caterers and can select any catering company with the proper food and beverage safety and handling licences. 

    The planning, ordering, delivery, co-ordination and payment of all catering is the responsibility of the organisation hiring our venues.
