Why am I being asked to authenticate myself to use Content Creation?
It has become industry standard to use Multifactor Authentication (MFA) to access applications containing sensitive or proprietary information. The benefit of MFA is that it is more secure than just using a password. GS1 Australia is introducing MFA across the board to all our services, with Content Creation one of the first to be rolled out.
What is MFA?
MFA – Multifactor Authentication means authenticating (proving) your identity more than once (multi) using different categories of credentials (e.g. like a code sent to your phone) to gain access to something that is held securely.
It has become industry standard to use MFA to access applications containing sensitive or proprietary information. The benefit of MFA is that it is more secure than just using a password. It’s a “double check” that valid users are accessing their own accounts.
GS1 Australia is introducing MFA across the board to all our services, with Content Creation one of the first to be rolled out.
An Error has Occurred - I cannot login – what do I do?
If you see this screen it is likely your system clock is out of sync with global time.
In your browser enter https://time.is/ to check if machine time is more than 60 seconds out.
You will need to sync the time on your machine to the correct time within your time zone to within 60 seconds.
Can I share a login email with another person?
If you have been using the same email address as another person/other users to login to Content Creation, this will no longer work. You will need to get your own unique login email as each person must authenticate individually.

What do I do if I’ve lost or don’t have access to my phone?
If you don’t have access to the phone you’ve been using to authenticate but you saved the recovery code last time you logged in, you can use the recovery code to login to Content Creation.
