Branded Food Database

We have partnered with Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) to develop a Branded Food Database which is a central source of nutrient content for food and beverages sold in Australia

The database benefits consumers, industry, health professionals and policy makers by providing a ‘single source of truth’ with accurate and validated product information. It also supports public health initiatives such as the Health Star Rating system and the Healthy Food Partnership.

Brand owners provide relevant product data with a target of 85 per cent of all packaged food and beverage products sold by national retailers, loaded and available by 2023.

Consumers access the database to make more informed decisions about the products they purchase.

National Product Catalogue

We host the data and facilitate collection and loading of product information from brand owners utilising the National Product Catalogue and Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN), an industry-driven tool for sharing product master data between brand owners and retailers.
