| Data Synchronisation with Danks via GS1net – October 2011 | |
 At Danks, we encourage our Trading Partners (Vendors) to send us their product information in a standard and timely manner, whether it is for new products, changes to existing products, updates to pricing, or product deletions. To assist us with getting our data even more accurate, Danks will begin accepting data via the Electronic Data Synchronisation service called GS1net. A Hardware specific product data set has been established through the work of the Hardware GS1 Action Group which Danks are a member of. Danks will benefit from receiving your product data via GS1net as the data will not only be based on the defined industry standard, but will be verified each time new data or a change is uploaded into GS1net. Suppliers will benefit from uploading data via GS1net, as the process will result in master data that is complete and accurate, and once uploaded available to be shared with other trading partners utilising the GS1net service. GS1net is also the foundation for effective and error free EDI transactions. Once we have your full and accurate data via GS1net, we will be able to expand the use of EDI with reduced errors in both Purchase Orders and Invoices. Danks is committed to receiving your product information via GS1net and encourages you to begin the process of reviewing your data and becoming GS1net compliant. The data requirements for GS1net are available on the GS1 Australia website on the GS1net Technical Information/Cookbook page, under the section headed "Loading and Maintaining Data", subsection "Your Target Data Set" and additional information is provided in the same section under "Hardware Industry".
