Academic Grant Program
Assessment process
A GS1 Australia Selection Committee headed by the Chief Information Officer will assess and make final recommendations to the CEO of GS1 Australia. All persons involved in the interviewing and assessment process will treat each application in strict confidence.
The selection committee will make a decision on the awarding of Academic Grants following a final review of the recommendations. In the event of a dispute the final decision will be made by the CEO of GS1 Australia. All applicants will be notified in writing of the outcome by early December 2008.
Successful Applicants:
- GS1 Australia will reimburse half the fees of successful applicants*, upon receipt of an invoice stamped by the University as paid.
- Successful applicants will be required to take part in appropriate publicity of the GS1 Australia Academic Grant Program.
Grants cannot be transferred to another person or educational institution. Successful applicants will endeavour to apply themselves to the successful completion of each course unit.
* Payment for half fees will only apply to Graduate Certificates undertaken at Deakin, Swinburne and UWS. At QUT fees will be paid for only one elective unit of study, where contents cover the global GS1 System.
