Which scanners are compatible with GS1 DataBar?
The good news is that most scanners that have been available since around 2000 are compatible with GS1 DataBar.
This means if you have bought your scanning equipment in the past 10 years it is more than likely that it is compatible and you will not need to replace it.
However, some of these scanners will need upgrading and in most cases the scanner will need the GS1 DataBar option turned on. To understand how to do this you will need to contact the supplier of your scanning equipment.
The supplier of your scanners will be able to tell you:
- If your equipment is compatible or not
- If it can be upgraded
- How to turn the GS1 DataBar option on
