GS1 Australia: Supporting Local EPC RFID Implementation
GS1 Australia links the local EPCglobal Community with other subscribers through facilitating Action Groups and Advisory Groups to:
- Influence the development of the EPCglobal Network and Standards
- Influence the future direction and implementation of the EPCglobal Network within Australia
- Exchange ideas and experiences with others who are developing EPCglobal applications
- Provide implementation and support services specific to EPC RFID
There are two working groups which you can participate in, that only EPCglobal subscribers can join:
- GS1 Australia EPC RFID Advisory Group for End Users
- GS1 Australia EPC RFID Technology Group for Solution Partners and End Users
Both groups will identify and learn from overseas progress and will leverage these learnings through pilots, working group participation and knowledge transfer. They will also seek greater Government support for demonstrating EPCglobal applications and benefits similar to the recently completed EPC Network Australian National Demonstrator.
The groups will work closely together with the End User Advisory Group focusing on user requirements and implementations. The Technology Group will assist in standards development and provide technical input.
