Supply Chain Excellence Awards

The Awards are presented to an outstanding individual - the 'Leadership in Standards Award' and to a company the 'Award for Standards in Action'. They were created to recognise the outstanding work that is being done by specific companies and individual, for their innovation, boldness, commitment, leadership and pioneering spirit when implementing the GS1 System.
The awards are not industry specific and are judged against a set of weighted criteria by a panel of GS1 senior management and board members.
Leadership in Standards Award
This award recognises the contributions made by an individual in championing the promotion and implementation of the GS1 global best practice standards, within the company, sector or industry. The individual is recognised as an agent of change and the flow on achievement has contributed to the high standing of GS1 Australia among GS1 Member Organisations internationally. It also recognises the leadership role of the individual in being an advocate of the GS1 standards and promotes the values of GS1 Australia among industry peers.
Award for Standards in Action
This award recognises the company who has driven the implementation of the GS1 standards within its organisation and has utilised the services of GS1 Australia to raise the knowledge on the standards among its staff and partners. The award also recognises the company's efforts in bringing about best business practices through the adoption of the global GS1 standards and has been a catalyst for change and improvements in its sector or industry, leading to the high standing of GS1 Australia among GS1 Member Organisations internationally. The company also shares in the values of GS1 Australia.
