The Role:
In this role you will be responsible for providing technical and operational support to the GM – Standards Development while leading and being part of a dedicated and professional team. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Being the technology watch and ensuring the latest developments in GS1 standards and Solutions and emerging trends and technologies are readily accessible within the department
- Ensuring that GS1 Australia staff are educated on the emerging technologies/ developments relating to the GS1 System
- Participating in the Global Standards Management Process and monitoring the local presence in Australia
- Being the conduit for communication of issues surrounding GS1 System impacts in the Australian market
- Managing the day to day operations of an assigned arm of the Standards Development team including workflow, quality, skills and resourcing
- Ensuring all standards projects are managed on-budget and on-time where applicable
- Participating in budget setting and business planning processes.
What we are looking for:
The successful candidate will ideally have knowledge of the GS1 System, must be competent to see the application of the GS1 standards across the various parts of the supply chain and be able to relate and convey this application to relevant stakeholders. You must have strong organisational, administrative and communication skills and excellent attention to detail as well as strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Well developed management and leadership skills and the commitment to flexibility with international calls when required are also essential.

Advisor - Industry Management

The Role:
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Industry Manager to provide corporate account management within the allocated General Merchandise, Transport and Logistics and Other sectors and deliver the Industry Engagement Program. You will promote the use of the GS1 System within supply chain management, in a professional and proactive manner. You will also be responsible for delivering a range of training courses (classroom, webinars and workshops) and Supply Chain Knowledge sessions.
What we are looking for:
The successful candidate will have proven experience in corporate account management and will be able to demonstrate understanding of business processes and systems. Strong relationship building skills are essential as are sound presentation skills. It is preferable you have experience in the adoption of supply chain and/or eCommerce solutions.
